Hugh Jackman has upset both Deborra-Lee Furness and Sutton Foster after he recently made a shady comment about red flags while promoting his new film, The Death of Robin Hood.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Aussie actor was speaking to History Extra about his thriller film, which came out in June this year,\u00a0 when he was asked what he thought were the biggest green flags and red flags of his character, an ageing Robin Hood who faces a reckoning for his violent past.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jackman, 57, light-heartedly answered that the best thing about his character was, no doubt, his survival skills.<\/p>\n

“Hunting. Helpful, right? If you\u2019re hungry, he\u2019s the guy you want,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

However, his one-word verdict on Hood’s red flags is what raised some eyebrows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCommitment,\u201d he quipped.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, an insider has told Woman’s Day that the comment has gone down like a lead balloon with his ex-wife, 70, and current girlfriend, 51.<\/p>\n

\"\u2018Insensitive\u2019:<\/p>\n

\u201cDeb is annoyed for obvious reasons \u2013 why didn\u2019t Hugh choose \u2018violence\u2019 or \u2018lying\u2019 as Robin Hood\u2019s bad trait?\u201d the source questioned.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead he picked the one thing people have already projected onto him. As far as Deb is concerned, Hugh knows very little of commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Jackman’s girlfriend of nearly two years is also said to be “a bit miffed” about the comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s begging her to set a wedding date, but she\u2019s now worried what the kind of commitment really means to Hugh,\u201d the insider claims.<\/p>\n

The source added that Foster doesn’t want to \u201cbe in Deb\u2019s position in five or 10 years\u2019 time\u201d.<\/p>\n

Jackman and Foster went public with their romance in January last year and have made a number of public appearance since, attending the Met Gala in May<\/a> and the premiere of Jackman’s The Death of Robin Hood three months ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However the timeline of their relationship has long been the subject of speculation,<\/a> with the couple starring opposite each other in The Music Man<\/a>\u00a0on Broadway in 2023, when they were both still married to other people.<\/p>\n

Jackman and Furness were married for 27 years before announcing their split in September 2023, with Furness making various public comments about their relationship in the wake of their divorce.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last year, Furness told Daily Mail of her split: \u201cMy heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”<\/a><\/p>\n
