Apple Wallet driver\u2019s licenses recently launched in Virginia<\/a> and Oklahoma<\/a>, but three more states are expected to follow soon, bringing us close to 20 US states on board.<\/p>\n Utah, Kentucky, and North Carolina appear set to launch driver\u2019s licenses in Apple Wallet soon<\/p>\n Digital IDs are becoming far more common than they were when Apple first added support in the Wallet app back in 2021. And today, 16 US states<\/a> plus Puerto Rico support the feature on iPhone.<\/p>\n The latest additions, Virginia and Oklahoma, debuted just in the last month.<\/p>\n And it looks like three more states will be coming soon:<\/p>\n Utah<\/p>\n Kentucky<\/p>\n North Carolina<\/p>\n This summer evidence was discovered<\/a> of both Utah and Virginia being added to Apple\u2019s backend for driver\u2019s license support. Virginia has since gone live, so it\u2019s expected that Utah will launch as one of the next supported states.<\/p>\n Kentucky previously announced<\/a> it will support Apple Wallet driver\u2019s licenses after upgrading its digital ID system this summer. All indications are that the upgrade has been completed, so based on the state\u2019s original plans, we should see licenses in Apple Wallet soon.<\/p>\n North Carolina recently announced<\/a> the launch of its new digital driver\u2019s license system. As part of the announcement, it confirmed licenses will be supported in Apple Wallet by early 2027.<\/p>\n Additional states might always surprise us and launch in Wallet before Utah, Kentucky, or North Carolina.
