\n\tRobert Pattinson<\/a> is opening up about \u201cThe Batman: Part II<\/a>\u201d \u2014 and how it is a totally \u201cdifferent take\u201d on the franchise than the first film was.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s so ambitious. I mean, I sort of said the other day on something that the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another,\u201d he told Collider<\/a> in a recent interview. \u201cIt\u2019s a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it. But it just feels really ambitious, and I\u2019m excited to see how it turns out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSet to hit theaters on Feb. 18, 2028, \u201cThe Batman Part II\u201d is Matt Reeves\u2019 follow-up to 2022\u2019s \u201cThe Batman,\u201d in which audiences were first introduced to the \u201cPrimetime\u201d star as Bruce Wayne. Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan will star alongside Pattinson in the film, along with supporting cast members Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch. Still, the film\u2019s plot details remain under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\tVariety previously reported that Reeves completed the sequel\u2019s script <\/a>in June 2025, though the film was originally announced in 2022 \u2014 just a month after the first film debuted in theaters. When \u201cThe Batman Part II\u201d premieres, it will have been six years since the first did.<\/p>\n

\n\tDC Studios co-chief James Gunn previously defended the release delays by explaining how it\u2019s \u201cfairly common\u201d for big-budget titles to have lengthy gaps before a sequel is released.<\/p>\n
