The lucky winner of The West Australian\u2019s 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final Giveaway has been drawn.<\/p>\n

Lucky local Paul Chapman received the exciting news on Wednesday and once he and partner Michelle Anderson accepted the call wasn\u2019t a scam, the pair were beside themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just thought it was another someone trying to sell solar or something, and they left a message, so I obviously thought hang on, they said they\u2019re a third party that do the tickets, and I went, \u2018is someone scamming me from work and they think they\u2019re funny?\u2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut anyway, I rang back, and yeah, no, it was good. I\u2019m going!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Chapman was among more than 40,000 hopefuls who entered The West\u2019s competition this week, which offered return flights to Melbourne, two nights accommodations and most importantly, tickets to the game that will decide whether Fremantle or Brisbane raise the AFL premiership cup.<\/p>\n

While the winner is an Eagles supporter, Ms Anderson is a hardcore Fremantle Dockers fan.<\/p>\n

Ms Anderson also took some convincing that she wasn\u2019t being pranked first though.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t believe me. I had to send her a picture of the email from you guys,\u201d Mr Chapman said.<\/p>\n
