{"id":902647,"date":"2026-09-23T15:20:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T15:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/902647\/"},"modified":"2026-09-23T15:20:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T15:20:11","slug":"steven-adams-sees-a-bizarre-culprit-that-will-affect-the-nba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/902647\/","title":{"rendered":"Steven Adams sees a bizarre culprit that will affect the NBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Steven Adams<a class=\"maisdio-link\" href=\"#\" data-sport=\"nba\" data-athlete=\"20000875\" data-name=\"Steven Adams\" data-track-content=\"\" data-content-name=\"mai-sportsdataio-link\" data-content-piece=\"Steven Adams\"><\/a> isn\u2019t John Nash, but he just floated a wild game theory \u2013 sort of.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Houston Rockets<a class=\"maisdio-link\" href=\"#\" data-sport=\"nba\" data-team=\"20000022\" data-name=\"Houston Rockets\" data-track-content=\"\" data-content-name=\"mai-sportsdataio-link\" data-content-piece=\"Houston Rockets\"><\/a>\u2019 media day on Tuesday, the veteran NBA big man seemingly sent a warning not just to the NBA but also to the NFL about a possible decline in overall performance come November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GTA 6.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The popular video game franchise is set to release its highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, and Adams seems to believe that it will impact the quality of games in two of the biggest pro leagues in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI will say, you guys should anticipate November, the performance of the league, league-wide. GTA is dropping,\u201d Adams said, drawing laughs in the room.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo look at NFL, look at all the leagues and watch them plummet, mate. Just for the month of November, performance is gonna go down. It should come back up though, most of the boys will get it done. Hopefully they finish the game, continued Adams.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCoaching as well, by the way. The coaching and scouts are gonna be horrendous, mate. Just for November, but it should bounce back in December, hopefully. Should be good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Steven Adams with a warning:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will say: You guys should anticipate November. The performance of the league\u2026league wide.
