\n\tUPDATED with official trailer: Searchlight Pictures<\/a> has released the official trailer for Martin McDonagh<\/a>\u2018s dark spy comedy Wild Horse Nine<\/a>, which is coming off its buzzy world premiere<\/a> at the Venice Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pic, which hits theaters November 6, scored an almost 15-minute ovation<\/a> after its debut screening in Venice. John Malkovich<\/a>, who co-stars with Sam Rockwell<\/a>, went on to win the fest\u2019s Volpi Cup Best Actor award<\/a> for his performance.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet just before the 1973 Chilean coup, Malkovich and Rockwell play CIA agents Chris and Lee, respectively, who are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief (Steve Buscemi). As the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris\u2019 newfound bond with a pair of students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ail\u00edn Salas) threatens to send everyone\u2019s trip sideways.<\/p>\n

\n\tTom Waits and Parker Posey also star in the film, McDonagh\u2019s first since The Banshees of Inisherin, which was nominated for nine Oscars in 2023 including for directing, writing and Best Picture.<\/p>\n

It marks his first feature film since The Banshees of Inisherin, which was nominated for nine Oscars in 2023 including for directing, writing and Best Picture.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet just before the 1973 Chilean coup, Wild Horse Nine stars John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell as CIA agents Chris and Lee, who are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). \n\tSearchlight has already set a November 6, 2026 release date<\/a> for the pic, which also stars Tom Waits and Parker Posey.<\/p>\n

\n\tGraham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, McDonagh and Anita Overland are producers.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new pic, described as a dark comedic drama a la Banshees, reunites McDonagh and Rockwell from McDonagh\u2019s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which was nominated for seven Oscars and won two, for Rockwell as Supporting Actor and Frances McDormand as Best Actress.<\/p>\n
