The combatant in question is Andy Ruiz, who became Mexico\u2019s first-ever heavyweight champ by besting Joshua before dropping the unified crown to AJ in a rematch. Ruiz touched upon a lot of the public discourse surrounding the Fury and AJ negotiation, while appearing at BKB<\/a> Tijuana on September 19th.<\/p>\n

Andy Ruiz espoused his thoughts on this topic while on hand at BKB 59 for the company\u2019s historic first-ever card in Mexico. When offering up his own viewpoint regarding the Fury vs. Joshua hurdles in terms of locking down specifics for a boxing bout, Ruiz said [via Bare Knuckle Bowker<\/a>],<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it\u2019s going back and forth. I don\u2019t know if they\u2019re postponing it because they want it here in the United States and then people want it over there in London or in the UK. But I mean, they\u2019re both from over there. So, I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t see what\u2019s the problem. I think it should be over there. I think they\u2019re going to have more views and more people want to see it more over there. I just want the opportunity to fight either of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The report indicates that an official announcement for Anthony Joshua versus Tyson Fury could come as early as next week.<\/p>\n

Both Fury and Joshua scored their respective wins a day apart from one another in July, with WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman indicating that he would give Fury-Joshua the distinction of being a WBC title eliminator if this booking finally gets locked in.
