For two years, nobody knew where one of Lady Gaga\u2019s biggest fans had gone \u2014 until he resurfaced with a bombshell that stunned the internet.<\/p>\n

Kirill is a Belarus national who since 2009 has established his social media page Gaga Daily as the go-to source for the latest news on the 40-year-old pop superstar, real name Stefani Germanotta.<\/p>\n

Boasting nearly half a million followers, the account has become central to the Little Monsters fandom \u2014 with the singer herself even telling the Rolling Stone<\/a> that the page is \u201cwhere I go to see what my fans are saying\u201d.<\/p>\n

But when the Oscar winner released her Grammy-nominated seventh album Mayhem back in March 2025, the page remained silent for the first time in 16 years.<\/p>\n

After months of speculation and theories about the sudden hiatus, Kirill returned to the Internet on Wednesday to reveal that he had been preoccupied with a different battle \u2014 having spent two years locked up inside a Russian prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry about not posting, I was literally in prison,\u201d he revealed in a lengthy post that has since gone viral, earning 3.6 million views.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn early 2024, I was arrested in my home country for protesting against the Government and I was sentenced to more than two years in prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m out now, I am safe and I can\u2019t wait to get back into doing something I love.\u201d<\/p>\n

He revealed that two of his friends had helped him keep the page active during his incarceration, and said he was thankful for the slew of concern and touching messages he received from around the globe since vanishing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this community so much, and I\u2019m incredible touched and grateful for the messages and support you\u2019ve sent my way during this time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Various news outlets have identified the fan as Kirill Nguyen, a 32-year-old sentenced to two years in Russian prison in a case allegedly involving \u201corganising group actions that violate public order\u201d.<\/p>\n

The charge is often used against participants in the 2020 Belarusian protests, which were launched after a disputed presidential election.<\/p>\n

Kirill made sure to jump straight back in to his important work after leaving prison \u2014 sharing a range of reaction posts from his first listen to Lady Gaga\u2019s album.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe day this came out must\u2019ve been the greatest day to be a Gaga fan . . . \u201c he posted on his account.<\/p>\n

\u201cGAG OMG,\u201d a second post read, while he also told his followers: \u201cPlease excuse me if I act like it\u2019s my first time experience this because IT IS.\u201d<\/p>\n

While he has shared plenty of content about his first time listening to the singer\u2019s latest work, he revealed there was one song that had managed to sneak its way into the Russian penitentiary he was serving time in.<\/p>\n

Kirill revealed he had been \u201cliving\u201d when he first heard the album\u2019s second single Abracadabra on radio behind bars, but said he made sure to \u201csilently\u201d celebrate considering he was surrounding by criminals and killers.<\/p>\n

He even revealed he had tried to watch Joker: Folie a Deux, which Gaga stars in alongside Joaquin Phoenix, from jail \u2014 an experience he labelled \u201cthe worst of my life\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only got to see half the movie because a guy who was serving 20 years for murder said to \u2018turn that s*** off\u2019,\u201d he told his followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just didn\u2019t feel like arguing with him, so I turned it off \u2014 I wish I was joking.\u201d<\/p>\n

The internet has been ablaze with reactions to the fan\u2019s wild tale, with many in shock that he was so quick to return to his love for Gaga after spending two years in one of the world\u2019s harshest prisons.<\/p>\n

\u201cMissing a Gaga album for protesting the Russian Government is instantly iconic behaviour,\u201d one fan joked.<\/p>\n

\u201cStraight from prison back to Twitter is WILD,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n

Someone even shared a screenshot revealing Kirill\u2019s story was partly trending on the app \u2014 with the screenshot saying \u201cAbracadabra becomes surprise prison hit, fan reveals\u201d.<\/p>\n

Wildly, it\u2019s not the first time a notable fan account on X has vanished while the owner went to jail for disobeying a government.<\/p>\n
