Craig Skinner, Eric Blandin and Tim Lean will all join the American squad in the coming months, bringing experience from several of Formula 1\u2019s leading teams.<\/p>\n
Skinner arrives as Chief Development Engineer following a 20-year career with Red Bull, where he served as Chief Designer and played a role during the team\u2019s run of world championship success between 2021 and 2024.<\/p>\n
He will report to Chief Technical Officer Nick Chester and oversee technical direction through the development process, linking areas including car concept, aerodynamic design, analysis and delivery.<\/p>\n
Blandin has been appointed Head of Aerodynamics after previously holding senior roles with Mercedes and Aston Martin.<\/p>\n
He spent more than a decade as Chief Aerodynamicist at Mercedes before later serving as Deputy Technical Director at Aston Martin, and will now take charge of Cadillac\u2019s growing aerodynamics department.<\/p>\n
Lean completes the trio as Chief Engineer for Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation.<\/p>\n
He brings more than a decade of aerodynamic experience from McLaren and six years with Red Bull, along with more than five years as Principal Aerodynamicist at Ferrari.<\/p>\n
The appointments form part of Cadillac\u2019s continued expansion following its debut as F1\u2019s 11th team this season.<\/p>\n
The squad has already established a new UK headquarters at Silverstone while development continues on its larger facility in Fishers, Indiana, as it builds the infrastructure required for its long-term F1 program.<\/p>\n
The technical additions also come following Marcin Budkowski\u2019s appointment as team principal during the summer break, replacing Graeme Lowdon.<\/p>\n
Budkowski said strengthening Cadillac\u2019s leadership across several key technical areas would be central to improving its development capability.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese appointments represent a vital step in the technical evolution of the team,\u201d Budkowski said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBringing together experienced leadership across development, aerodynamics and modelling will help us create a stronger integrated technical organization and improve performance on track.<\/p>\n
\u201cCraig, Eric and Tim bring race and championship-winning experience to Cadillac F1 in areas that are central to our long-term development.\u201d<\/p>\n
All three are expected to begin their new roles within the next few months as Cadillac turns increasing attention towards development of its 2027 challenger, having yet to score a point in 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cadillac has landed three big name technical signings for 2027.
