Dom Dolla<\/a> fans have rallied behind the Australian DJ after a sound issue at Melbourne\u2019s Marvel Stadium left sections of the crowd struggling to hear his set.<\/p>\n

Dom Dolla, legally Dominic Louis Matheson, returned to the stage for his long-awaited hometown show in Melbourne<\/a> on Thursday night with almost 60,000 fans rocking up to support him. <\/p>\n

Fans of Australian DJ Dom Dolla were left struggling to hear his set in Melbourne after a mid-set sound malfunction. \u00a0Tiktok\/@damarelll<\/p>\n

However, the night was soon hit by a technical snag. Social media footage showed audio dropping out mid-set, leaving some sections of the stadium without sound after a front-of-house speaker seemingly malfunctioned.<\/p>\n

Fans claimed the audio glitch lasted for around 20 to 30 minutes while the rest of the concert continued. <\/p>\n

Some fans expressed disappointment, with several leaving the venue early and others calling for refunds online.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople leaving Dom Dolla early because the speakers on the left side blew up,\u201d one video was captioned. <\/p>\n

\u201cGirl it was cooked I didn\u2019t even know Sandstorm was playing,\u201d a second fan wrote in the comments. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was on the side it blew and half the people cracked it and left \ud83d\udc80\u201d a third wrote. <\/p>\n

But many fans were quick to defend the DJ, praising the technical team for fixing the glitch as quick as they could.<\/p>\n

\u201cShoutout to the team who fixed this asap, that would\u2019ve been so stressful,\u201d one fan wrote in the caption of a video showing the moment the speakers blew. <\/p>\n

Some concertgoers in the standing section said they heard Matheson announcing that technical staff were addressing the audio glitch. However, those who left early said they missed the message entirely due to the sound drop-out.<\/p>\n

Nine.com.au has contacted Marvel Stadium and Matheson\u2019s representatives for comment. <\/p>\n

Despite the technical setback, many fans insisted the rest of the night was a success.<\/p>\n

Fans raved about the experience underneath an Instagram post Matheson made following the gig.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast night was bloody brilliant at Marvel Stadium\u2026. Dom Dolla and friends brought the tunes and the crowd created the vibe. No fights, just adults having a boogie and a drink. Was a great night out,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes there was a complete blow out of the left hand front of house speaker stack for about 30 minutes but that still didn\u2019t dampen the evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Thursday night show in Melbourne was heavily anticipated by fans and Matheson alike. <\/p>\n

The DJ took to his socials the night before the concert to express his gratitude to the fans, who sold out the stadium. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels so damn good to be home \ud83e\udd72,\u201d the post started. \u201cIt\u2019s not everyday you get to play to 60k legends in your hometown\u2026 I\u2019d like to say I\u2019ve dreamt of this moment since I very first started in music, but the truth is I had no idea hosting a show like this was even in the realm of possible realities.\u201d<\/p>\n
