Beverley Callard has revealed she became unwell while filming Fair City earlier this week, with an ambulance called to the set.<\/p>\n
The former Coronation Street actress, who joined the RT\u00c9 soap as Lily Patterson earlier this year, said she had been preparing to film a scene when she suddenly lost consciousness.<\/p>\n
Speaking in a video shared on Instagram, Callard said: “I’ve been at work this week, filming the most amazing scenes, really good, great scripts.<\/p>\n
“Working with people who are so good, but good fun as well. It was all going swimmingly and then today, I\u2019ve no idea what happened to me but I was all ready to start a new scene.<\/p>\n
“We just sat there, getting ready, about to run lines and I sort of\u2026 the only way to explain it is I lost consciousness for a few minutes, maybe 10 minutes, which was very odd.”<\/p>\n

Callard said an ambulance was called as part of protocol on set, but she did not go to hospital after recovering.<\/p>\n
“An ambulance came, I desperately didn\u2019t want to go to hospital, I recovered and then felt fine again,” she said.<\/p>\n
Callard said she had felt “boiling hot” and was advised by paramedics to go home and rest for the weekend.<\/p>\n
She added that she now feels “perfectly normal”, although her blood pressure had been “through the roof”.<\/p>\n
The actress said she has “not been right” since undergoing radiotherapy following her breast cancer diagnosis and still experiences bouts of nausea.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m at the hospital next week so I\u2019ll probably know more,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m awaiting the results of these other tests, some of these biopsies they\u2019ve taken from my stomach.”<\/p>\n
In the caption accompanying the video, Callard wrote: “That was an eventful day at work! Not really something I can explain but I certainly wasn\u2019t expecting a visit from paramedics today.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m feeling fine now\u2026 just another sign that something isn\u2019t quite right.”<\/p>\n
Callard completed radiotherapy treatment in July.<\/p>\n
