Applications are open for the Build 2026 Innovation Expo, inviting African AI startups, builders, developer teams, researchers, students and emerging innovators to showcase AI-powered products and solutions that have progressed beyond the idea stage.<\/p>\n

The Expo forms part of Build 2026, Africa\u2019s Shared Compute and AI Infrastructure Conference, hosted by the Nigeria AI Collective<\/a>. It will connect selected innovators with investors, potential customers, corporate partners, policymakers, development organisations and other participants in Africa\u2019s AI ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Who Can Apply<\/p>\n

The call is open to AI startups and product companies, independent builders and developer teams, research teams and spin-offs, students, founders and early-stage teams.<\/p>\n

Applicants do not need substantial revenue, a large customer base or an established company. However, they must have something demonstrable: an AI-powered product, prototype, minimum viable product (MVP) or proof of concept. Idea-stage applications without a working demonstration will not be considered.<\/p>\n

Applicants should be prepared to explain the problem their innovation addresses, how AI is used, the current development stage, testing or validation completed, target market and the support needed to progress.<\/p>\n

What Selected Innovators Receive<\/p>\n

Selected participants will have several opportunities to present and develop their work at Build 2026:<\/p>\n

Pitch: Present their innovation before ecosystem leaders and decision-makers.
\nDemo: Demonstrate products at the Build AI Garage.
\nCompete: Access available cash-prize and compute-support opportunities.
\nConnect: Meet investors, potential buyers, corporate partners, government and development organisations.
\nShowcase: Gain additional visibility through the Build Innovation Catalogue.<\/p>\n

Following the application review, shortlisted innovators will receive details about the relevant showcase opportunity and next steps.<\/p>\n
