\n\tChris Hansen<\/a> finally took a seat for \u201cPrimetime<\/a>,\u201d and he was not happy about the portrayal of himself.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former \u201cTo Catch a Predator\u201d host said<\/a> on Fox News\u2019 \u201cJesse Watters Primetime\u201d in August that he left the offices of distributor A24 without seeing the film due to the legal agreement they wanted him to sign. \u201cI\u2019ve never seen anything quite like it,\u201d he said of the agreement. He also said<\/a> he found Robert Pattinson<\/a>\u2019s impression \u201coverly dramatic,\u201d but that his family thought it was a \u201cpretty good imitation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNow that Hansen has seen Lance Oppenheim\u2019s drama, he is prepared to share his reaction. In a short clip filmed outside a theater, Hansen gave a teaser of his initial thoughts, with a promise to post his full reaction on his podcast and YouTube channel, \u201cHave A Seat With Chris Hansen,\u201d at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was so bizarre and so in-and-out of reality,\u201d Hansen said. \u201cObviously, I\u2019m not objective because the character is, you know, me, but it was so detached from reality or anything I\u2019ve experienced then or now doing the investigations. I\u2019m not sure what the point of it was.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film stars Pattinson as Hansen in 2006 as \u201cTo Catch a Predator\u201d transitioned from \u201cDateline NBC\u201d to its own primetime block. A24 labeled the film as \u201cinspired by true events,\u201d rather than a biopic. <\/p>\n

\n\tPattinson himself hoped Hansen would come around on the portrayal. \u201cI would hope the amount of inspiration his character has given a lot of people for years is some kind of compliment,\u201d the actor said following Hansen\u2019s comments on his imitation.<\/a><\/p>\n
