{"id":905502,"date":"2026-09-25T23:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T23:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/905502\/"},"modified":"2026-09-25T23:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T23:02:15","slug":"tell-apple-and-google-remove-small-boat-watch-from-your-app-store","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/905502\/","title":{"rendered":"Tell Apple and Google: Remove &#8216;Small Boat Watch&#8217; from your app store"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                                    <img width=\"640\" height=\"336\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Small-Boat-Watch-sharing-image-1024x538.png\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>                                <\/p>\n<p>                                                            Email Apple&#8217;s Head of UK App Store &amp; Google Play&#8217;s General Manager<\/p>\n<p>Reform UK\u2019s \u2018Small Boat Watch\u2019 app is in flagrant violation of both Google Play and the Apple Store\u2019s rules.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Will you send an email to the Apple\u2019s Head of the UK App Store and the General Manager of Games on Google Play to demand that this app is removed immediately?<\/p>\n<p>Apple and Google\u2019s rules and regulations both explicitly prohibit apps from including content that targets marginalised groups.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s rules: \u201c\u201cEnemies\u201d within the context of a game cannot solely target a specific race, culture, real government, corporation, or any other real entity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s rules: Content is prohibited that \u201cIncites hatred against, promotes discrimination against, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, skin tone or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalisation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apple and Google must now do the right thing and remove the app from their stores.
