Promotion:<\/a> Danish eyewear brand Lindberg has presented a site-specific installation<\/a> for the Armory Show in New York City<\/a>, created with Italian artist Fabrizio Corneli. <\/p>\n

Called Enigma of Vision, the minimalist installation opened on 24 September as part of the city’s annual Armory Show of contemporary art.<\/p>\n

Lindberg<\/a>, which distinguishes itself from other eyewear brands through its sharp, architectural approach to design, commissioned Corneli to design the site-specific work for the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Enigma of Vision presents two interconnected artworks by Corneli, whose portfolio of site-specific pieces is defined by experiments with light and shadow.<\/p>\n

The first is Seed, a sculpture featuring a concealed light source. When visitors interact with the sculpture, it reveals an image of the globe.<\/p>\n

Lindberg explained that the piece encourages visitors to reflect on humanity’s connected future through the interplay of space, form and light.<\/p>\n

The second artwork is called Eyecatcher. This piece centres on a selection of Lindberg’s most recognisable glasses, transforming the frames into sources of striking shadows, which are a familiar motif in Corneli’s work.<\/p>\n

Together, both pieces express Lindberg’s philosophy of stripping away design to its essential parts, while also exploring how perception is shaped equally by what we see and “what remains hidden”.<\/p>\n

Since 1986, Lindberg has been producing lightweight glasses in materials like titanium and wood, without the need for screws or rivets.<\/p>\n

The brand has since ventured into the art world and has been an active participant in the industry since 1986.<\/p>\n

Lindberg was first present at the Armory Show in 2024, when it collaborated with American photography and sculpture artist Letha Wilson.<\/p>\n

Last year, Brooklyn-based artist Yuko Nishikawa created a Lindberg installation of delicate sculptural mobiles<\/a> for the show.<\/p>\n
