Blossoms<\/a> frontman Tom Ogden joined Niall Horan<\/a> on stage in Manchester last night for a surprise performance of \u2018Charlemagne\u2019 \u2013 watch footage below.<\/p>\n

Horan brought his \u2018Dinner Party Live On Tour\u2019 to Co-op Live yesterday (September 25), and welcomed Ogden to the stage seven songs into the set for Blossoms\u2019 breakout hit.<\/p>\n

\u2018Charlemagne\u2019 was originally released in 2015 and later appeared as the opening track on Blossoms\u2019 self-titled debut album, which reached Number One in the UK in 2016.<\/p>\n

Blossoms marked their debut album\u2019s 10th anniversary last month with an intimate show at Manchester\u2019s Deaf Institute<\/a>, where they played the album in full and opened with \u2018Charlemagne\u2019 \u2013 a track traditionally reserved for the end of their concerts.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME around the show, Ogden reflected on the song\u2019s longevity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think if we put out \u2018Charlemagne\u2019 tomorrow, people would still jump on it,\u201d he said. \u201cMaybe not \u2013 maybe we\u2019d stay at The Deaf Institute and never evolve! It\u2019s hard to say, but I\u2019m going to back myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blossoms are currently preparing to release their sixth album \u2018Songs From The Wedding Cake\u2019 on October 2. The record includes \u2018Additional Driver\u2019, their collaboration with Declan McKenna<\/a>, which they first debuted together at the Deaf Institute show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They will then embark on their biggest headline tour to date, including two returns to Co-op Live on November 28 and December 11.<\/p>\n

Horan\u2019s Manchester gig, meanwhile, formed part of the opening week of his \u2018Dinner Party Live On Tour\u2019, which began in Birmingham on Tuesday (September 22).<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Horan told <\/a>NME<\/a> he felt it would be doing his former band \u201ca disservice\u201d not to include some One Direction<\/a> songs in his solo shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want to play great songs, and I was in that band, so that\u2019s helpful,\u201d he said, before specifically arguing that \u2018Steal My Girl\u2019 had been \u201crobbed of its day in the sun\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Horan\u2019s tour continues at Glasgow\u2019s OVO Hydro on Monday (September 28), followed by Sheffield\u2019s Utilita Arena and The O2 in London, before heading across Europe.<\/p>\n

The run will conclude with two shows at Dublin\u2019s 3Arena on November 9 and 10 and a final date at Belfast\u2019s SSE Arena on November 15.
