What will the game plan be for Nathan Cleary?(Getty)

Unless the Panthers are up by 24 points after 30 minutes, Nathan Cleary will surely be injected at some point in the first half, foot injury be damned.

The Panthers have embodied that “next man up” mentality and that will be embodied by Jacks Cole and Cogger in the halves to start this one.

But watch for Isaah Yeo to take a bigger role in the play-making through the middle early.

Fullback Dylan Edwards will also have increased responsibility, and he says the team has had two weeks to come up with a game plan around Cleary.

“We’ve known for a while,” Edwards tells Fox.

“Once he gets on he field it’s all systems go anyway.”

Still, Penrith great Greg Alexander is adamant he will be on the field after 20 minutes.

“He’ll be kicking,” Alexander said on Fox Sports.

“He kicked at training on Thursday, he won’t be goal-kicking.”

69′ The Broncos will continue

Shannon Mato is stripped by Laikha Clarke to give the Titans another shot with two minutes left, but Clarke knocks on to give it right back.

The Broncos will progress to the NRLW grand final once again.

68′ Titans running out of chances

A bomb puts Kerri Johnson in a contest with Indie Bostock and the Broncos winger fumbles, but it goes back and Tamika Upton cleans up.

64′ Broncos survive again

Tamika Upton surprisingly fumbles a Lauren Brown bomb to give the Titans possession and field position, but the crash-ball play to Takoda Thompson is too hot to handle and she knocks on.

62′ Another Southwell Special

The spiral bomb wreaks more havoc and Teagan Levi can’t reel it in.

The bounce is back towards Brisbane and it’s tapped across to the left. The Broncos have numbers, but Georgia Grey arrives just in time to hit and stick on Georgia Bartlett and save the day.

59′ The Broncos scramble!

The Titans try a raid down a restructured left side with Jaime Chapman and Ivana Lolesio combining inside outside inside, but Brisbane defenders arrive in time to shut it down.

Still, the Broncos have to truck it off their line.

53′ Lily Patston is out for the game

The Titans’ fullback goes off for an HIA after a huge shot from Julia Robinson and she’s been deemed a category one. Her day is over and she won’t be allowed to play the grand final if they make it.

Sun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:17pmSun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:17pm

50′ Here’s a chance for the Titans

I think the heat is starting to take a toll as Shannon Mato charges into the defence and makes an uncharacteristic error in a tackle by Lily Kolc and Ivana Lolesio.

Sun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:15pmSun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:15pm

46′ Chapman saves a try but gets up hobbling

The Broncos look certain to score on the right wing as Tamika Upton goes to the line with Julia Robins outside her, but Jaime Chapman blindsides her from the inside to stop her short.

The Titans centre is lucky not to be penalised after going on with the tackle on the ground, but gets back into the line as the Broncos reload down that side and she nabs the ball as Romy Teitzel fumbles a short ball on the last and the Titans survive again.

She’s immediately grabbed around the legs by the attackers-turned-defenders, and looks like she’s been awkwardly twisted around. She’s slow to rise but eventually gets up to continue.

She’s also battling a recently dislocated and relocated ring finger.

Tough cookie.

Sun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:11pmSun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:11pm

45′ Hustle from Teitzel

Lead be damned, the Broncos still seem to have more energy to start this half.

They make great metres after receiving a handover right on their tryline, and muscle up in defence.

A dummy half pass flies over the head of Lauren Brown and towards the Titans on the bounce, but Romy Teitzel flies in from nowhere to snatch the pass.

Sun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:04pmSun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:04pm

38′ Southwell giving Bostock fits

It’s another brutal bomb from Jesse Southwell, this time a spiralling bomb from the sunlight into the shade. Indie Bostock tries to get under it, but can’t meet it and the ball ultimately bounces into touch harmlessly.

Sun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:01pmSun 27 Sep 2026 at 2:01pm

36′ Broncos start second half

The Titans start their attempted comeback with Jaime Chapman barrelling back into the defence.

[9
64,63,7285,5366,16308,7992,4125,158,25993,5357,85,22958
post-907026","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sports","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-blog","tag-broncos","tag-finals","tag-knights","tag-live","tag-nrl","tag-nrlw","tag-panthers","tag-sports","tag-titans
["GET
