The Voice Australia crowned a new winner on Sunday night, with Yung Milla taking out the title for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

Host Sonia Kruger announced Northern Territory-based Yung Milla from Team Melanie C as the winner of the show\u2019s 15th season after a spectacular grand finale saw him emerge victorious from a final four that included Daisha Auda from Team Kate Miller-Heidke, Tommy Novak from Team Richard Marx, and boy band The 60 Four from Team Ronan Keating. <\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe it,\u201d he said after being crowned. \u201cI\u2019m just so grateful. Thank you so much, Mel. You made me stronger, as a person, as an artist. I couldn\u2019t be more proud. I\u2019m doing it for my people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The finalists performed together as a group before each performing solo numbers and singing a duet with their coach, after which the public vote decided the winner.<\/p>\n

Yung Milla, a 22-year-old aspiring rapper from the Northern Territory who went on to win the season, opened the show with an electrifying performance of 2Pac\u2019s 1992 hit Changes, which set the tone for the entire evening. <\/p>\n

He then returned to the stage for his duet with coach Mel C, with the Spice Girl choosing her own song Never Be The Same Again, which featured Lisa \u201cLeft Eye\u201d Lopes. Yung Milla perfectly rapped the late TLC star\u2019s versus, which left Mel C \u201cstarstruck\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s crazy, man!\u201d he said on stage after performing with the one and only Sporty Spice. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a black boy from Darwin and now I\u2019m on The Voice grand finale singing with Melanie C.\u201d <\/p>\n

When it was Tommy Novak\u2019s turn to hit the stage, the 36-year-old from NSW was given the classic Aussie anthem The Horses by Daryl Braithwaite. <\/p>\n

Tommy, who quit his corporate job before the competition, impressed the coaches and audience with his honest and truthful rendition of the song.<\/p>\n

He later returned to the stage for a duet with coach Richard Marx, with the pair rocking out to Bryan Adams\u2019 Summer of \u201869.<\/p>\n

Daisha, who at 15 is the youngest finalist and first ever Torres Strait Islander artist to reach The Voice Australia grand finale, was up next \u2013 and she got everybody up and dancing to her rendition of Together Again by Janet Jackson.<\/p>\n

Daisha, who is from Logan in Queensland, smashed another record when she became the only artist ever to get approval from Ms Jackson to sing her song in the competition. <\/p>\n

Apparently, Jackson has never approved any of her songs to be used on The Voice stage until now when producers sent the US singer Daisha\u2019s blind audition tape and the Grammy winner was so impressed, she gave Daisha the green light to sing her 1997 hit.<\/p>\n

For her duet with coach and reigning champion Kate Miller-Heidke \u2013 Kate helped Alyssa Delpopolo win the crown<\/a> last year \u2013 Daisha sang Sarah McLachlan\u2019s haunting ballad Angel. <\/p>\n

For someone who wasn\u2019t familiar with the 1997 classic, Daisha sure wowed the crowd, which included her mum who gave the performance two thumbs up. <\/p>\n

Coach Ronan Keating\u2019s prot\u00e9g\u00e9s The 60 Four were last but not least to perform, bringing to the stage Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga\u2019s monster 2024 hit Die With a Smile. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey have star power, they have stage presence, they have commitment, dedication, hunger. They have it all,\u201d Keating praised before the South Australia boy band hit the stage.<\/p>\n

Keating, who knows a thing or two about boy bands after fronting the Irish pop group Boyzone in the 90s, then took to the stage with the group \u2013 in matching blue denim and all \u2013 to perform the ultimate boy band anthem You Got It (The Right Stuff) by New Kids on the Block. <\/p>\n

The winner Yung Milla was crowned after weeks of epic auditions, battles, knockouts and showdowns. <\/p>\n

Along with the coveted title of The Voice Australia winner, Yung Milla received a $100,000 cash prize and an all-inclusive Hive Sound Studios recording and development package that includes production, recording, mixing, mastering and access to Australia\u2019s leading A&R and label services. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warning: Contains spoilers from The Voice Australia 2026 grand finale.
