Nathan Brown was a late withdrawal from the Sunday Footy Show\u2019s grand final edition with a bout of gastro.<\/p>\n
Fellow panellist Damian Barrett said he got a text at 5.48am saying that Brown wasn\u2019t feeling too well.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s got a form of gastro I believe,\u2019\u2019 Barrett said. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe hasn\u2019t had a sick day since I\u2019ve known him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Barrett said he was worried about him and fellow panellists Matthew Lloyd and Rory Sloane offered their sympathies.<\/p>\n
But Tony Jones was licking his lips at the prospect of roasting his mate\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is our grand final show and you would like to go in full strength,\u2019\u2019 he said<\/p>\n
\u201cI think he\u2019s had (gastro) since he was told he wasn\u2019t calling for Triple M on grand final day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jones then read out Brown\u2019s finals record and said \u201cit\u2019s not the first time you\u2019ve gone missing in September\u201d.<\/p>\n
It didn\u2019t draw too many laughs so Jones did qualify the sledge with \u201cI wish you well\u201d and \u201cWe love you Nath\u201d.<\/p>\n
It continues the banter between the two who each week butt heads.<\/p>\n
Brown is due to be heading to the Northern Territory for the next eight days to take on the 170km Larapinta Trail with his wife Kristine. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to show our kids there\u2019s a bloody big world out there and there\u2019s more to life than the comfortable stuff,\u2019\u2019 Brown said.<\/p>\n

Maddern late out<\/p>\n
Channel 7 host Rebecca Maddern was another who fell victim to illness in Grand Final Week. <\/p>\n
She was absent from the traditional Grand Final eve lunch at Crown which she co-hosts with Hamish McLachlan, and couldn\u2019t be there on Saturday for morning broadcast duties.<\/p>\n
She was struck down by influenza just days after doing a stellar job co-hosting the Brownlow Medal with McLachlan.<\/p>\n
G Flip cheers on the Pies<\/p>\n
Fresh from rocking the G with Kylie Minogue, G Flip was at Collingwood\u2019s AFLW match at Victoria Park on Sunday.<\/p>\n
An avid Magpies fan, G Flip was accompanied by wife Chrishell Stause who flew in from LA for the big day. <\/p>\n
She was wearing a Collingwood scarf and showing her true colours.<\/p>\n
