Estonian AI app-building platform bilt.me<\/a>
\nhas raised $700,000 in pre-seed funding in a round led by Superhero Capital<\/a>,
\nwith backing from Bolt founder Markus Villig<\/a> and Lightyear founder Martin Sokk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Founded in August 2025 by Uku Joost Annus<\/a>, Kevin Akkermann<\/a> and Karl Kiilasp\u00e4\u00e4<\/a>, bilt.me is developing an AI agent
\nthat takes users from an initial idea to a live mobile application. The company
\nstarted as a hackathon project focused on overcoming Apple’s app-testing
\nrestrictions and later evolved into a platform designed to make native app
\ndevelopment accessible to more people.<\/p>\n

Unlike AI app builders that primarily
\ngenerate web applications, bilt.me focuses on native iOS and Android apps. The
\ncompany sees an opportunity in reducing the technical barriers to mobile app
\ndevelopment, enabling people with ideas to build and launch products without
\ngoing through the traditional development process.<\/p>\n

Our bet is that apps, not websites, are
\nwhere the next generation of businesses gets built,<\/p>\n

said Annus.<\/p>\n

Building native applications also
\nrequired the company to develop supporting infrastructure. With what it saw as
\na lack of suitable tools on the market, bilt.me built its own payments, cloud
\nand sharing layers, called Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud and Bilt Link.<\/p>\n

The platform has passed six figures in
\nannual recurring revenue, with revenue doubling month over month for three
\nconsecutive months. Thousands of people are using bilt.me to build
\napplications, around 75 per cent of which are consumer apps and 25 per cent
\nprivate or in-house tools. Paying apps built on the platform are also live on
\nthe App Store and Google Play.<\/p>\n

The company sees an opportunity for
\nEurope at the application layer of AI, with Annus pointing to Europe\u2019s
\nlagging position in areas including energy, semiconductors, AI infrastructure
\nand frontier AI models.<\/p>\n

But there’s one layer where Europe
\nis still world-class: the application layer, turning AI into things real people
\nuse and pay for. That layer runs on builders, and we don’t have nearly enough
\nof them. Everyone told us the magic was in San Francisco. We went, and came
\nhome more convinced than ever that the builders are already here.<\/p>\n

Annus also pointed to how users are
\nturning their knowledge and ideas into products and businesses through the
\nplatform.<\/p>\n

Our users are living at the
\nfrontier of AI. They take knowledge only they have, solve a problem everyone
\nshares, and build a real business out of nothing in almost no time.<\/p>\n

bilt.me will use the new capital to
\nsupport its global expansion and further develop its application-building
