Stewart\u2019s final tour is set to feature all his beloved greatest hits, including Maggie May, You Wear It Well, Tonight\u2019s the Night (Gonna Be Alright), Hot Legs, Da Ya Think I\u2019m Sexy?, and Young Turks.<\/p>\n
The singer is one of the best-selling performers of all time, having been inducted twice into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (both as a solo artists and as part of The Faces) and has sold more than 250 million records worldwide.<\/p>\n
Medical issues thwart US tour<\/p>\n
Last month, Stewart was forced to cancel the remaining 11 shows of his US tour, including a six-date residency in Las Vegas, following a heart procedure in which he had a stent fitted in his heart.<\/p>\n
A stent is a small wire tube that is inserted into coronary arteries to supply blood to the heart in the event of a blockage.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m already feeling better and very much on the mend,\u201d Stewart wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
His representative later posted a new statement on Instagram, announcing that doctors were \u201cpleased with his recovery\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cRod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities. On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,\u201d the message read.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.<\/p>\n
