A new poll has sensationally put One Nation in the hot seat to win the next New South Wales election.<\/p>\n

News24 host Sharri Markson exclusively revealed the confidential polling on Monday night showed Anthony Albanese\u2019s net favourability in Labor seats had plummeted.<\/p>\n

Markson said the polling, conducted by a Liberal Party-aligned firm, showed the Prime Minister was at negative 72 per cent favourability amongst men and negative 63 among women.<\/p>\n

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor was fairing better on minus 20 among men and minus seven among women.<\/p>\n

But Pauline Hanson was in favourable territory between nine and 20 per cent across different parts of Sydney.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Nation is doing so well that both Liberal and Labor operatives admit there’s a genuine prospect of a One Nation government at the New South Wales election in six months\u2019 time,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPremier Chris Minns is in serious trouble with sources describing One Nation as a wrecking ball for both major parties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markson said the poll found One Nation could pick up 48 seats at the election and win government, while Labor and the Liberals would win 29 and eight seats respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cNationals – no seats – they’d lose them all to One Nation. The Greens, three seats, and independents, five seats,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

Under the modelling, One Nation NSW leader Mike Newman would become the state\u2019s next premier.<\/p>\n

Markson said it would be a \u201cwipeout\u201d in favour of One Nation, with the Liberals \u201cdemolished\u201d and Premier Chris Minns losing up to 17 seats.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be a wipeout for One Nation, Liberals would be demolished and Minns would lose 17 seats.<\/p>\n

\u201cOther sources I\u2019ve spoken to expect Minns to lose between 6 to 7 seats, but keep in mind he\u2019s currently in minority government,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMinns\u2019 two opponents right now are Mike Newman and Anthony Albanese – One Nation is drawing support, and Albanese\u2019s toxic brand is costing Minns votes.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Mr Minns described a coalition between the Liberals, Nationals and One Nation a \u201cFrankenstein\u2019s monster\u201d, such an alliance cannot be ruled out.<\/p>\n

Markson said NSW Opposition Leader Kellie Sloane and One Nation\u2019s Mike Newman did not have the same animosity that Mr Taylor and Ms Hanson had.<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly Sloane and Mike Newman are on good terms, they’re in personal contact,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe doesn’t consider him her enemy. They both know the likely scenario is they can’t hope to become premier without each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, I’m told this isn’t a view shared by all of Kellie Sloane’s colleagues. Some would rather support Chris Minns than One Nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markson said the rising popularity of One Nation was the reason why Premier Minns had visited the Hunter region almost a dozen times this year, and why he was \u201ccoming out against Albanese\u201d on multiple policy areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow Newman is running in the state seat of Cessnock and is expected to win it, but it’s a safe Labor seat on a margin of 23 per cent,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, polling indicates that Newman’s primary vote in the Hunter, in Cessnock, is in the low 40s.<\/p>\n

\u201cMinns has visited the Hunter region some 11 times this year. But it’s not just the Hunter. Minns is facing a resurgent One Nation across southern Sydney and outer suburban areas like Penrith, Camden and Heathcote.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Pauline Hanson having about 20 per cent net favourability in Steve Kamper\u2019s Rockdale electorate, Markson said the polling suggested the One Nation leader was \u201ceven popular among migrant families\u201d.<\/p>\n

While Mr Minns was differing with the Prime Minister on policy issues, voters were still \u201cturning away\u201d from him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlbanese is toxic. There’s palpable anger at the Labor brand thanks to the Prime Minister,\u201d Markson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s why Minns is also coming out against Albanese on many different policy areas. The tobacco excise, the budget, even the antisemitism crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n
