The Reserve Bank of Australia has hiked the cash rate to 4.6 per cent at its September meeting.<\/p>\n

The 25 basis point hike takes the cash rate to the highest level it has been since November 2011.<\/p>\n

The hike was widely expected with markets pricing the probability of a rate hike at about 90 per cent, while all of the Big Four banks\u2019 economic teams correctly predicted the hike.<\/p>\n

Chairman of Yellow Brick Road Mark Bouris has hit back at the government and explained why higher rates could be here to stay for a while.<\/p>\n
