Adelaide<\/a> captain Jordan Dawson and his wife Milly have announced they are expecting their first child. <\/p>\n

In a touching post on Instagram, the couple also revealed they had suffered a miscarriage earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis little baby will have some very special stars up there.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been an emotional year for the Dawson family, who lost Jordan\u2019s brother Jaryd in April. <\/p>\n

He went missing and was later found dead in the coastal town of Robe in South Australia\u2019s south east.<\/p>\n

Despite being rocked by the tragedy and taking some time away from footy, Jordan was able to turn in another brilliant season on the field, paying tribute to his brother in each and every game.<\/p>\n

Speaking last month, Jordan said he was still struggling to come to terms with his brother\u2019s passing. <\/p>\n

Dawson told 7NEWS that the pain\u2019s still very raw, but thanked fans and the footy community for the overwhelming support.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a struggle to be honest, it\u2019s still something I\u2019m not ready to talk about fully,\u201d the 29-year-old said in August. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s still very raw and it\u2019s still something I\u2019m battling with, but I also want to make my brother proud and play the best footy I can play because I know that\u2019s what he\u2019d want me to do as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m always thinking about him, and sometimes when I\u2019m not, it\u2019ll be a random time when a fan or someone is just trying to show their respects, and they\u2019ll just come up to me and say, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry about your loss,\u2019 or whatever, and that obviously brings back memories.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so grateful for the fans that have been a big supporter of mine over the journey so far, and they\u2019ve obviously gone above and beyond this year for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo yeah, always almost thinking about him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, an online troll apologised after being confronted for sending a vile suicide taunt to the Crows skipper. <\/p>\n

7NEWS confronted Stuart Rocke, the man who was outed by Dawson on social media after sending the despicable message following Adelaide\u2019s semi-final loss to Brisbane. The message made a reference to self-harm.<\/p>\n

Rocke was tracked down at his home in Perth\u2019s northern suburbs, and 7NEWS questioned him about the disgusting message.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan I ask you why you sent that?\u201d Rocke was asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot really,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n

He was then asked: \u201cWhy did you feel the need to do that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mental health advocates have applauded Dawson for naming and shaming the culprit, insisting the only way to stamp out online trolls is to call them out.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s received a horrible message there, and at a period of time when he\u2019s just finished the football season, and as a whole family unit, they\u2019ve gone through an enormous challenge and trauma and grief and loss,\u201d Breakthrough CEO John Mannion said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the fact of the way in which he\u2019s managed it. He\u2019s called it out. He said, this is not acceptable. He said, we need to be better than this. And I think the way in which he\u2019s using his platform to drive the positive mental health messaging and the language that we use is really, really proactive.\u201d<\/p>\n
