The David Reynolds\/James Courtney entry has swapped its teal for \u2018electric blue\u2019 and its #20 for #48 in changes that\u2019ll also remain for the Gold Coast and Sandown.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s in the name of promoting the caravan company\u2019s new Australian-engineered 48 volt power technology across its 2027 range of caravans.<\/p>\n

Reynolds and Courtney are the most experienced pairing on the Great Race grid with a combined 1131 Supercars race starts and 39 Bathurst 1000 appearances.<\/p>\n

The former won the Great Race with Erebus Motorsport in 2017 and finished runner-up for Team 18 last year after falling agonisingly short in a last-lap battle.<\/p>\n

Courtney\u2019s much-trumpeted return to the cockpit at The Bend fell flat when an opening lap incident required a trip to the garage for repairs.<\/p>\n

Both drivers are hoping for a better run at Bathurst, where 2010 Supercars champion Courtney is still chasing a maiden victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cBathurst is the race everyone wants to be a part of and the one we all want to win,\u201d said Reynolds.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible place and there is nothing else like racing a Supercar around Mount Panorama.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinishing second last year was a great result for the team, but it was also tough because we came so close.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to have a crack at the win in those conditions, but it just didn\u2019t fall our way.<\/p>\n

\u201cA strong Bathurst result can change your entire year, so we\u2019re heading back determined to give ourselves another opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reynolds is 15th in the championship and still in mathematical contention to qualify for the Finals Series based on points, but would require a freak set of circumstances to do so.<\/p>\n

Courtney believes The Bend still prepared him well for Bathurst, despite spending the entire race laps down following the early mishap.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven after sustaining damage early, it was still valuable to get back into the rhythm of a race weekend and spend more time in the car before Bathurst,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conditions were treacherous and among the most challenging I\u2019ve experienced in a race car.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn many ways, that was good preparation for Mount Panorama because Bathurst can change so quickly and you need to be ready for absolutely anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking with Dave was every bit as much fun as I expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a great time together and worked really well as a combination, so I can\u2019t wait to experience Bathurst week alongside him and the team.\u201d<\/p>\n
