Wanneroo Rugby Club continues to demonstrate what is possible when a club prioritises people, inclusion and long-term development.

The club has become the first in Australia to achieve Gold status through Rugby Australia’s Club Impact Program, recognising its commitment to best-practice governance, participation, inclusion and sustainability.

Based in Western Australia, Wanneroo provides opportunities across junior and senior rugby, women’s rugby, Tri Tag rugby and All Abilities programs. A strong club culture and clear leadership structure have helped create a connected pathway for players and families throughout their rugby journey.

Women’s rugby is a key part of the club’s success, with dedicated programs supporting participation and development for women and girls. The club’s commitment to inclusion is further demonstrated through its All Abilities Rugby program and its Diversity & Inclusion Policy, ensuring people from all backgrounds feel welcome and connected.

Behind the scenes, Wanneroo has invested heavily in governance, financial management, volunteer development and succession planning. These foundations help ensure the club remains strong and sustainable into the future.

The club’s recent recognition through both achieving Gold in Rugby Australia’s Club Impact Program and winning RugbyWA’s Healthway Champions of Rugby Award for 2026, highlights the impact of its work both on and off the field.

Wanneroo’s achievement shows that strong governance, inclusive participation and on-field success can go hand in hand. Its journey provides a powerful example for clubs across Australia looking to strengthen their culture, community and future.

Wanneroo Rugby Club continues to demonstrate what is possible when a club prioritises people, inclusion and long-term development.…

[567
64,63,479220,479219,479221,479222,760,85
post-911781","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-rugby","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-case-studies","tag-club-development-case-studies","tag-club-impact-program","tag-clubhub","tag-rugby","tag-sports
["GET
