Natalia Silva meets Wang Cong in Saturday’s UFC 332 main event in Salt Lake City, one of the few women’s bouts the promotion has scheduled in recent weeks despite a deep roster of contenders across multiple weight classes.

ESPN’s preview of the flyweight title eliminator notes the matchup pairs two strikers who have combined for nine finishes in their last 12 octagon appearances. Silva enters on a five-fight win streak that includes three performance bonuses, while Wang has stopped four of her last five opponents inside the distance.

Why UFC Has Slowed Women’s MMA Bookings

The card arrives amid questions about why the UFC has booked fewer female fights this year compared to prior seasons. Multiple coaches interviewed by ESPN pointed to matchmaking logistics rather than diminished interest, with one suggesting the promotion has struggled to align camp schedules and injury replacements at a time when several champions and top contenders remain sidelined.

Silva weighed in Friday at 125 pounds and told reporters she expects the winner to face champion Valentina Shevchenko next, though no timeline for that bout has been confirmed. Wang, fighting out of China, closed as a slight betting underdog despite her recent knockout run.
