Busy Phillips has some great news to share with fans, six months after undergoing life-saving surgery to remove a rare brain tumour<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The actress, 47, said this week that her doctor candidly told her \u201cyour scan was clean\u201d before thwarting into a conversation about her new TV show Cupertino.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the show\u2019s New York premiere on Wednesday, Phillips told People<\/a>: \u201cI chatted with my oncologist today.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was like, \u2018Really just wanted to talk about Cupertino.\u2019 I\u2019m not even kidding you. She\u2019s like, \u2018Your scan was clean. So when\u2019s the show come out? Is it this week or next week?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI was like, \u2018The premiere is tonight.\u2019 She\u2019s like, \u2018Amazing.\u2019 Anyway, so yeah, she\u2019s been on the whole journey with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, Phillips shared she had undergone her six-month MRI<\/a> following surgery to remove the tumour earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuys, I got my six-month scan, MRI, and it was no sign of the tumour,\u201d she said in a video shared on Instagram<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In her video she explained that while there were \u201cno signs of tumour progression\u201d the MRI did uncover a different health concern.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c…I do have a sinus infection in my left sphenoid sinus, which also makes sense because my eye has been red, my left eye, for the past week, and if you are somebody who has followed me for a really long time, you know those sinuses, honey, they have been out to get me since day one!\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Philipps explained she was \u201cgoing to the sinus doctor tomorrow morning to see what we gotta do\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actress added that she underwent surgery on her sinus in 2018, and she may need to do an \u201canti-inflammation cleanse again\u201d.<\/p>\n

Philipps recently underwent a six-month MRI after surgery to remove a rare brain tumour. \u00a0Instagram\/@busyphilipps<\/p>\n

\u201cBut yeah, this is not great. It\u2019s painful, it looks painful, and it is painful. I thought it was eczema,\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what the hell is going on\u2026 But no tumour, so I guess I\u2019ll take a sinus infection over a brain tumour, any day!\u201d<\/p>\n

In August Philipps revealed that she had undergone two surgeries after doctors found a rare brain tumour in February following a full-body MRI.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Philipps told People she was \u201chyperventilating and trying to breathe\u201d when she got the news that there was a tumour.<\/p>\n

She recalled feeling \u201creally scared\u201d to have the hard talk with her daughters, Birdie, 17, and Cricket, 13, who she shares with her ex-husband.<\/p>\n

She \u201cpromised\u201d them their mum wasn\u2019t going to die.<\/p>\n

The first surgery was in March and because the scan caught the tumour early, doctors were able to fully remove it and she did not require chemotherapy or radiation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She did require a second surgery in April, after the incision site got infected.<\/p>\n

She will require regular scans to monitor for an unlikely recurrence of the tumour, but so far appears to be in the clear after it was caught early.<\/p>\n
