What do a dog and a rat have in common? More than their differences. That idea is at the heart of legendary musician and writer Nick Cave’s new limited-edition merchandise collaboration with PETA. Featuring Cave’s original illustration of a dog and a rat alongside PETA’s “Every Animal Is Someone” slogan, the exclusive line of t-shirts, tote bags, and tapestries is now available through the PETA Shop.

It’s More Than Merch—It’s a Statement

Cave has spent decades exploring the feelings of love, grief, and joy that connect us as humans. This collection is a way to show others that by looking beyond arbitrary differences, we can recognize the similarities in all living individuals. After all, cows form lifelong friendships and mourn the loss of loved ones, rats show empathy toward others, and chickens dream while they sleep and can even worry about the future.

“Every animal deserves to be treated with kindness, compassion and respect,” Cave says, “Every animal is someone.”
