Yang and Sweden\u2019s Robert Karlsson on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leaders are one stroke ahead of Tim \u200cO\u2019Neal, New Zealand\u2019s Steven Alker and Thailand\u2019s Thongchai Jaidee at the Lehigh Country Club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Green, 55, is angling for his \u200csecond PGA Tour Champions title after he won the Rogers Charity Classic last year. He led the field in greens in regulation (17 of 18) on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cVery, very happy,\u201d Green said of his round. \u201cIf I can keep that sort of form up over the next couple of days, who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There \u200care three \u200cweeks remaining in \u2060the regular season before the top 72 players advance to the Charles \u200bSchwab Cup playoffs. That increases the pressure on players like Karlsson, who entered the week 58th in the points standings.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1791004694_340_.jpeg\" alt=\"Alker \"\/>[Photo: AP PHOTO] Steven Alker is tied for fourth and one stroke off the lead at the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt hasn\u2019t shown, but (at the most recent tournament at Pebble Beach) it kind of clicked and I got especially the mental thing working a bit better, being more patient out there when things went wrong, \u2060just take it one at a time,\u201d Karlsson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karlsson had \u200cseven \u200bbirdies through 14 holes before taking his only bogey of the day. Yang also \u200cfinished with seven birdies and a single bogey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alker, who sits third in the Schwab Cup points \u200brace, ended his round with back-to-back birdies. He also had a scare when his caddie, Troy Martin, apparently fainted during the round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was pretty concerned about Troy, first of all,\u201d Alker \u200bsaid. \u201cHe \u200bjust stopped, literally just started walking and then \u200bstopped and went down.
