Police have not yet charged them.<\/p>\n<p>Several hours earlier, police were called to reports of an aggravated burglary at a property in Clonaig Street, Brighton East, just after 5.30am.<\/p>\n<p>Police said an occupant woke to the sound of noises inside the home before offenders stole two cars, a Nissan and an Audi, and fled.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicles were involved in another home invasion in Hampton Park after 7.45am, police allege.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOfficers spotted the Nissan Patrol being driven erratically in Doveton about 8am, before engaging in a pursuit,\u201d police said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the assistance of the police air wing, the vehicle was followed through multiple eastern and south-eastern suburbs on Eastlink and the Monash Freeway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Nissan was intercepted in Chadstone on the Monash Freeway just after midday, police said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Specialist police surround the stolen vehicle. \" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/01b17c6bb1888e393426e7493c080013d4b42569.jpeg\"  class=\"sc-d34e428-1 ldCIuB\"\/>Specialist police surround the stolen vehicle. Nine News<\/p>\n<p>Police said no one was injured during the incident, and the second stolen vehicle was recovered after a collision in Endeavour Hills.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic on the Monash is being diverted onto Toorak and Burke roads.
