Government, fleet and rental buyers are excluded.

READ MORE: 2026 Leapmotor B05 Priced for Australia: Rear-drive electric hatch arrives to challenge MG4 Urban and BYD Dolphin
READ MORE: Leapmotor B10 plug-in priced for Australia: Compact SUV matches electric sibling on dollars, has much longer claimed range
READ MORE: 2026 Leapmotor B03X Brief Drive: Budget electric SUV keeps things simple and cheap

Listed prices before on-road costs are $26,990 for the Style and $30,990 for the Design LR. Optional paint costs another $990.

The B03X’s most direct rival is the similarly sized BYD Atto 2, which starts at $31,990 before on-road costs in Dynamic form and rises to $35,990 for the Premium.

2026 Leapmotor B03X.

That gives the entry-level Leapmotor a $5000 advantage on list price, while its $29,990 drive-away offer is $2000 below the BYD’s starting price even before registration, stamp duty and dealer delivery are added to the Atto 2.

However, the cheaper B03X Style also has less claimed driving range. Its 39.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivers 292km on the WLTP test cycle, compared with 345km for both Australian Atto 2 variants. The Leapmotor Design LR’s 53kWh battery lifts its claim to 382km.

Another important competitor is the GWM Ora 5, which starts at $33,990 drive-away — $4000 above the B03X Style and matching the Design LR’s advertised price.

Buyers considering a larger small electric SUV also have options such as the Chery E5 and MGS5 EV. MG’s current October offer puts the MGS5 EV Essence 49kWh at $39,990 drive-away after cashback, $10,000 above the entry-level Leapmotor.

The B03X also competes for budget EV buyers with electric hatchbacks. BYD currently advertises its Dolphin Essential at $28,888 drive-away, illustrating how closely the new Leapmotor SUV is priced to smaller alternatives.

Known as the A10 in China, the B03X measures 4270mm long and 1810mm wide, with a 2605mm wheelbase. That makes it slightly shorter and narrower than the Atto 2.

Australian specifications differ from the early Chinese-market versions previously driven by EV Central, with the local announcement listing rear-wheel drive and substantially higher power outputs.

2026 Leapmotor B03X. Chinesd A10 equivalent.

The Style produces 130kW and 200Nm, while the Design LR increases power to 145kW. Leapmotor quotes an identical 8.6-second 0–100km/h time for both variants.

Both have 11kW AC charging capability, while maximum DC charging rates are 100kW for the Style and 133kW for the Design LR.

Leapmotor claims a 30–80 per cent recharge takes approximately 16 minutes under optimal conditions. Both versions also offer vehicle-to-load functionality capable of supplying up to 3.3kW to external appliances.

Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, wireless phone charging and automatic climate control.

The Style also includes cloth upholstery, a six-speaker audio system, LED headlights, roof rails, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

The $4000 step to Design LR buys an additional 90km of claimed range, along with 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

2026 Leapmotor B03X.

It also adds a 12-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera with an integrated dashcam recorder.

Seven airbags are standard across the range, as are autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring and front and rear cross-traffic alert with braking assistance.

Practical features include 60:40 split-folding rear seats, a rear storage compartment and up to 1315 litres of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded.

The B03X is covered by a six-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000km high-voltage battery warranty.

Leapmotor also lists eight years of roadside assistance and capped-price servicing, with service intervals of 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first.

Leapmotor has announced Australian pricing for its B03X small electric SUV, with a $29,990 drive-away starting price undercutting…

[4
64,63,486487,94419,486488,44
post-918437","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-australia","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-b03x","tag-leapmotor","tag-leapmotor-b03x-price","tag-news
["GET
