\n\tBest new artist hopeful Slayyyter has emerged as one of pop\u2019s biggest breakout stars with her raucous Wor$t Girl in America, and she may ride the success of \u201cBeat Up Chanel$,\u201d \u201cCrank\u201d and \u201cDance\u2026\u201d to her first best dance\/\u00adelectronic album nod. Bebe Rexha, who has two prior nods in the dance field, could gain another thanks to her Top Dance Albums<\/a> chart-topper Dirty Blonde.<\/p>\n \n\tRobyn may land her fourth nomination in this category for Sexistential, and Zara Larsson, who picked up a best dance pop recording nod for \u201cMidnight Sun\u201d last year, could earn another for that song\u2019s eponymous parent album (provided it doesn\u2019t, alternately, compete in pop vocal album). Elsewhere, hyperpop artist Underscores is currently opening for \u00adCharli\u00a0xcx\u2019s Music, Fashion, Film tour, gaining the right kind of buzz to possibly break into the final lineup of nominees.<\/p>\n \n\tWith the genre growing 18.9% year over year in U.S. on-\u00addemand audio streams, according to Luminate\u2019s midyear report, they\u2019ll face a particularly stacked list of potential competitors. Skrillex, who\u2019s tied with The Chemical Brothers as the most-awarded act in this category, is a safe bet to receive a nomination for SOMA, as is English duo Prospa for Free Your Mind, whose title track topped Dance Airplay<\/a> for two weeks. Fred again.., one of dance\u2019s brightest stars, is also in the running with his Latin Mafia-\u00adassisted 9\u00a0Months\u00a0& 50\u00a0Hours, as are Kaskade (Undux), Illenium (Odyssey), Channel Tres (Enigma POV), John Summit (Ctrl Escape), Major Lazer (Gyalgebra) and Madeon (Victory).<\/p>\n \n\tTame Impala may also contend.
