{"id":918887,"date":"2026-10-07T02:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T02:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/918887\/"},"modified":"2026-10-07T02:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T02:34:09","slug":"the-london-school-of-economics-and-political-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/918887\/","title":{"rendered":"The London School of Economics and Political Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) news release<\/p>\n<p>A new study from LSE and Duke University, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/langlo\/article\/PIIS2214-109X(26)00223-8\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">published<\/a> in The Lancet Global Health, documents severe and sustained declines in HIV service delivery for some of the world\u2019s most vulnerable populations at four non-governmental organisations in Uganda and Zimbabwe following the cuts to United States foreign aid in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The research, led by Dr Henry Cust, LSE Fellow in the Department of Health Policy and former Research Scientist at Duke\u2019s Sanford School of Public Policy, is the first to measure the impact on service delivery using data from within organisations whose US-sourced funding was cut and never restored.
