The cause of death for Dennis Haskins<\/a>, an actor best known for playing Principal Richard Belding across the \u201cSaved by the Bell\u201d franchises, has been revealed. <\/p>\n

Haskins\u2019 friend and longtime caretaker, Kimberly Snow, confirmed the actor\u2019s Sept. 27 death and told The Times that Haskins had quietly battled Parkinson\u2019s disease and was candid about other health issues. The actor died at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cited Parkinson\u2019s disease as the actor\u2019s immediate cause of death,
according to his death certificate obtained by TMZ<\/a>. Irritable bowel syndrome, depression, hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia<\/a> were also listed as health conditions Haskins battled.<\/p>\n

Snow, a former manager of Burbank\u2019s since-shuttered Dimples Karaoke,<\/a> shared the news of the actor\u2019s death on Instagram, writing that Haskins was a staple at the joint, so much so that many of the patrons thought he owned it.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people thought he owned it, but he didn\u2019t,\u201d the tribute read<\/a>. \u201cHe just loved the place and its people. He enjoyed singing for people, meeting them, and taking selfies with his fans. Dimples closed down about 11 years ago, and people still associate him with his beloved \u2018second home.\u2019 He was known to most as Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell, but to us, he was much more than that.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout eight years ago, he became ill,\u201d the post continued. \u201cHe had been silent about his fight with Parkinson\u2019s, among other health concerns, because he did not want the attention. He did not want to have to tell people. He would say, \u2018What do I even say?\u2019 So I respected his wishes and stayed quiet, and I helped him through his journey into the next chapter of his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cLate last night, that journey ended for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor played Mr. Belding across seven series<\/a>, including \u201cGood Morning, Miss Bliss,\u201d \u201cSaved by the Bell,\u201d \u201cSaved by the Bell: The College Years,\u201d \u201cSaved by the Bell: The New Class,\u201d \u201cThe Rerun Show,\u201d \u201cRobot Chicken\u201d and \u201cVictorious.\u201d<\/p>\n
