The UFC is back at the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, October 10, for UFC Vegas 122. In the main event, middleweight contenders throw down, as Brendan Allen<\/a> takes on Christian Leroy Duncan<\/a>.<\/p>\n Below, I’ll share my UFC Vegas 122 predictions, including my favorite pick, an underdog, a prop and a two-fighter parlay. All UFC odds<\/a> are via the DraftKings Sportsbook and are accurate as of the post date of this article.\u00a0<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Betting Favorite<\/p>\n Brendan Allen<\/a> (27-7) vs. Christian Leroy Duncan<\/a> (15-2) – Middleweight<\/p>\n In the main event, Brendan Allen<\/a> is fighting down in the rankings again against Christian Leroy Duncan<\/a>, and I like Allen to get his hand raised.<\/p>\n Allen has won three straight fights and is super underrated. During the win streak, he beat Marvin Vettori<\/a>, finished Reinier de Ridder<\/a> and beat Edmen Shahbazyan<\/a>. Allen seemingly gets one fight up in the rankings and then fights down again, as he wants to stay active. Duncan is another step down.<\/p>\n Duncan does pose some problems with his hands, as he posesses some power and has won five straight fights. However, Duncan’s grappling is a concern, as Allen is an elite grappler. Allen’s cardio is also solid, so expect him to push a heavy pace for five rounds.<\/p>\n I like Allen to use his wrestling early and often to grind on Duncan and get a late submission win, which will cement himself as a true title contender.<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Bet: Brendan Allen<\/a> (-148)<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Underdog Play<\/p>\n Gerald Meerschaert<\/a> (37-22) vs. Julius Walker<\/a> (7-3) – Light Heavyweight<\/p>\n For my underdog bet at UFC Vegas 122, I’m taking Gerald Meerschaert<\/a> to get his hand raised against Julius Walker<\/a> at light heavyweight.\u00a0<\/p>\n To me, these odds are way too high, as Walker is -285 and the third biggest favorite on the card. Still, he’s someone I wouldn’t trust with my money. Walker is coming off an eight-second KO loss just 3.5 months ago, so this is a quick turnaround, and I worry about his chin after back-to-back knockout losses with little time to recover.<\/p>\n Meerschaert isn’t a KO artist, but he is a veteran who has fought the who’s-who at middleweight and is moving up in weight. There is a chance he gets knocked out in the first round, but if he doesn’t, I think Meerschaert can get Walker down and get another late stoppage win.<\/p>\n To me, Walker should be around -150 to -175, so getting Meerschaert at +230 makes it a must-play.<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Bet: Gerald Meerschaert<\/a> (+230)<\/p>\n Check out DraftKings to bet on <\/a>MMA Odds<\/a> and use the <\/a>DraftKings promo code<\/a> for a great welcome offer.<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Prop Bet<\/p>\n Matheus Camilo<\/a> (11-3) vs. Jai Herbert<\/a> (14-6-1) – Lightweight<\/p>\n For my prop bet at UFC Vegas 122, I’m taking Matheus Camilo<\/a> to beat Jai Herbert<\/a> by KO\/TKO\/DQ.<\/p>\n Camilo takes on Herbert in the co-main event, which should be a fan-friendly fight at lightweight for however long it lasts. Both are known for their striking, but I trust Camilo more. To me, he’s more technical and has more power.<\/p>\n Camilo ran through Nazim Sadykhov<\/a> last time out, which is an impressive win. Herbert did pull off a comeback win over Mandel Nallo<\/a> in his last bout, but he got hurt multiple times, and Camilo hits harder than Nallo.<\/p>\n I expect Camilo to come out aggressive and land power shots to get a knockout win in the first round.<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Bet: Matheus Camilo<\/a> by KO\/TKO\/DQ (+130)<\/p>\n Check out one of the top sports betting apps<\/a> when you sign up with the FanDuel promo code<\/a> for all of your MMA betting.<\/p>\n UFC Vegas 122 Parlay<\/p>\n RJ Harris<\/a> (6-0) vs. Allen Frye<\/a> Jr. (6-1) – Heavyweight For my parlay at UFC Vegas 122, I’m taking RJ Harris<\/a> and Lupita Godinez<\/a> to get their hands raised at the Apex on Saturday.<\/p>\n Harris takes on Allen Frye<\/a> on the prelims in a heavyweight bout that won’t need the judges. Harris is 1-0 in the UFC and had an impressive KO win over Alvin Hines<\/a>. Frye, meanwhile, lost his debut and isn’t someone I’m too high on. Frye’s striking defense is a major concern, as he is there to be hit. Harris also hits hard, and I expect him to land damaging shots and get a TKO win here.<\/p>\n To close out the parlay, I’m taking Godinez to beat Ketlen Souza<\/a> on the main card. Godinez is one of the top strawweights, as her losses have been to the very best: Mackenzie Dern<\/a>, Virna Jandiroba<\/a> and Tatiana Suarez<\/a>.
