Australia’s workplace regulator, The Fair Work Ombudsman, has put out a helpful graphic for people who might want to take time off when GTA 6<\/a> comes out this November. \u201cLet\u2019s pretend GTA 6 is coming out tomorrow, but you don\u2019t have any paid leave available to play on launch day\u201d the graphic says. \u201cCan you take unpaid leave?\u201d <\/p>\n

According to the Ombudsman, the National Employment Standards give Australians the right to unpaid leave \u201cunder specific circumstances.\u201d So what are those circumstances? Being a carer is one, but that obviously doesn\u2019t apply to playing an open world video game. Helping out with an emergency is another you can scratch off. <\/p>\n

We got the Australian Government posting about different ways to take leave for GTA 6.<\/p>\n

Having a child is another valid reason, but even if you worked at Rockstar you\u2019d be hard pressed to argue for GTA 6 being your spawn. Luckily, you can just ask your boss, apparently. If your boss is nice, they\u2019ll give you time off and you can come to an agreement. Is my boss nice? No, he will make me write news stories about it all day. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite a funny little graphic. The images feature a loved one in a hospital bed, with someone pressing the back of their hand to their head. Except it\u2019s a copy of GTA 6 instead of a head. In the section about children, GTA 6 is on the ultrasound display. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s all very daft and tongue-in-cheek, but it speaks to the massive impact GTA 6 is going to have across the world. When Game Informer covered GTA 6<\/a>, it crashed the publication’s app because demand was too high. The game is expected to break records, with GTA 6 predicted to make $5.2 billion in launch week<\/a> alone. <\/p>\n

Rockstar traveled across Florida with gang members and cops for GTA 6 research<\/a>, in an attempt to deliver the most authentic Miami mood possible. The team spared no expense, which is probably why GTA 6 reportedly cost around $1.5 billion to make<\/a>, and that\u2019s before factoring in marketing spend. <\/p>\n

Marketing is going all-in. The lights on the top of Miami\u2019s Kaseya Center have lit up to celebrate GTA 6<\/a>. If that wasn\u2019t enough, NBA team the Miami Heat will rock Vice City-themed jerseys as part of the same GTA 6 marketing deal<\/a>. <\/p>\n

CBS put out a new video showing off the accuracy of GTA 6\u2019s Vice City<\/a>. The video looked at major locations and brought on experts to talk about Rockstar\u2019s open world, from PortMiami to South Beach, from Wynwood to the Everglades. <\/p>\n
