Hollywood A-lister Jamie Foxx has booked into a $9000-a-night St Kilda penthouse owned by disgraced media boss Antony Catalano while the Oscar-winner shoots a movie at Docklands. <\/p>\n
\u201cI ain\u2019t in the States, I had to come out here, g\u2019day mate!\u201d Foxx said in a clip posted to his Instagram page on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Foxx, standing on the penthouse decked of property developer Tim Gurner\u2019s exclusive St Moritz complex, panned out to film St Kilda Beach and Port Phillip Bay. He added: \u201cI\u2019m out here being blessed on another movie called Deadlocked.\u201d<\/p>\n
But the Instagram clip also revealed the location of his up-market digs.<\/p>\n
Foxx appears to be staying at the luxury top-floor apartment owned by Australian Community Media executive, Antony Catalano.<\/p>\n
Mr Catalano is facing criminal charges following an alleged domestic violence incident at the property in March this year. He plans to defend the charges and the case is scheduled for later this month.<\/p>\n
On Thursday night, Foxx posted more clips from inside the apartment while spruiking his stand up comedy special, Take Care Of Yourself.<\/p>\n
Clearly, Foxx is taking care of himself in Melbourne, given his choice of six-star accommodation. <\/p>\n
Mr Catalano\u2019s penthouse apartment is available to rent on the luxury property portal Luxico starting from about $9000 a night for a minimum 28-night stay.<\/p>\n
Foxx is shooting the hostage drama, Deadlocked, for Amazon MGM Studio, at Docklands, Port Melbourne and the CBD. <\/p>\n
Creative Victoria said the Deadlocked will deliver more than $36 million for the Victorian economy.<\/p>\n
It will also create more than 855 jobs for local cast and crew, plus roles for 1,000 extras.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Foxx played pickeball at House of Pickle in Port Melbourne at the weekend. He took time out to pose for photos between games.<\/p>\n
Foxx\u2019s credits include Django Unchained and Collateral.
