Olivia Dean is making it easy to fall in love with her all over again, and it\u2019s not just her string of inescapable hits winning the hearts of her Australian fans.<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old English pop star unlocked her couture wardrobe, worth tens of thousands of dollars, for the Australian leg of her The Art of Loving tour.<\/p>\n
While the staging of her infectiously joyful show is refreshingly simple, resembling a 70s Motown set, what she saves in production costs is offset by those gorgeous gowns designed by the biggest names in haute couture.<\/p>\n
She must have a huge road case for her precious pieces as the Man I Need chart-topper opens each show in a different dress.<\/p>\n
For her first Sydney concert at Afterpay Arena on Friday, Dean opened her set in a spaghetti-strapped, wine-coloured, shimmering floor-length Armani gown.<\/p>\n
She performed the last third of the set in a gold-fringed dress by London luxury brand Clio Peppiatt, who has collaborated with the Grammy-winning star of a clutch of her tour outfits.<\/p>\n
In the middle of the show, when Dean makes her way to the flower-shaped B-stage at the back of the floor, the stunning star wowed in her custom-designed feathered skirt made for her by Chanel.<\/p>\n
There were several fans who had created their own versions of the billowing white party skirt.<\/p>\n

Dean\u2019s tour outfits and red carpet style is followed by millions of fans around the world who document each of her looks, with social media accounts dedicated to celebrating the costumes inspired by idols including Diana Ross and Tina Turner.<\/p>\n
For her Melbourne concerts earlier this week, she debuted a romantic blush pink Dior gown with floral embroidery.<\/p>\n
And backstage, she also modelled a new Celine stage outfit, a butter yellow dress with a feathered neckline and hem.<\/p>\n
She also stunned in another Clio Peppiatt bright pink fringed dress.<\/p>\n
The Art of Loving show is in stark contrast to the epic productions \u2013 and leotards and corsets \u2013 of her pop peers with its simple staging focusing on Dean and her band giving retro 70s variety show vibes.<\/p>\n
After spending a year dominating the Australian charts with hits including Man I Need, Rein Me In and So Easy (To Fall In Love), Dean has found an epically wide demographic of fans here with many families sharing the love for this supremely talented artist.<\/p>\n
Het set included every track from the Art of Loving album, which returned to No.1 on the ARIA charts on Friday for the first time since April, after her Australian tour kickoff<\/p>\n
Dean has shared that Australia has a special place in her heart as her tour here for the Laneway Festival last year fostered the inspiration she needed to complete The Art of Loving album.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was poignant time in my life,\u201d Dean told fans earlier this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d written just a fraction of the album, The Art of Loving. I knew when I got home, I\u2019d have to finish it. But playing here really spurred me on. When I left Australia, I knew what I needed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dean dedicated the moving song Carmen, about her grandmother who moved to the UK from the Caribbean, to all immigrants.<\/p>\n
While she didn\u2019t reference the current migration debate in Australia, it was clear Dean was making a bold statement with the meaning behind the song.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s really important to think about the people who came before us and what they sacrificed and this song is a celebration of her life \u2026 but most importantly, this is a song for any immigrant, anyone is brave enough to do something for the people coming after you,\u201d she told the crowd to huge cheers.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I really believe those people deserve to be celebrated and we don\u2019t have to be so scared of each other all the time \u2013 we\u2019re all just trying to make it work, you know.\u201d <\/p>\n
Dean has also enjoyed getting out and about during her tour stops, shopping at mecca in Melbourne and dining out at Sydney restaurant Ennui on the eve of her opening concert at Afterpay
