UFC Vegas 122<\/a> went down last night (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Brendan Allen tap Christian Leroy Duncan with a buzzer-beating, rear-naked choke finish<\/a> in the fifth and final round in their headlining bout (see it here<\/a>). In the co-main event of the evening, Jai Herbert defeated Matheus Camilo via unanimous decision in a back-and-forth battle.<\/p>\n

Biggest Winner: Brendan Allen<\/p>\n

Allen passed a huge test on his way to make his case for a title shot by winning his fourth straight fight by defeating Leroy Duncan in the final round.<\/a> It\u2019s a great big step for \u201cAll In,\u201d who always seems to come up short right when he\u2019s on the cusp of breaking through for championship fight consideration. Now, I\u2019m not saying this will automatically put him in the driver\u2019s seat, but it could at least set him up for a title eliminator fight next against a Top 5 foe. One more win and Allen could finally find himself with an invite to the big dance.<\/p>\n

Just when you think Fili is on the last leg of his career after 13 years with the promotion, he goes out and delivers an epic knockout of the year candidate performance<\/a>, destroying Kai Kamaka III via head kick (see it here<\/a>). Fili snaps two-fight win streak, gets a news lease in his UFC career and walks aways with a fat post-fight bonus check<\/a>. He may be getting up there in age and in fights. but Fili showed once again that you can not count him out in any fight. Now, if he can just rack up a few wins in consecutive order he could earn himself a spot in the Top 15.<\/p>\n

Biggest Loser: Malcolm Wellmaker<\/p>\n

The once-promising prospect who jumped out with back-to-back first round knockout wins <\/a>has taken yet another stumble. Indeed, Wellmaker was all the buzz early on in his UFC career but has now dropped three in a row with his latest loss coming via devastating fashion thanks to Otari Tanzilovi, who knocked him out in the second round (see it again here<\/a>). The 32 year-old is at a crossroads in his career, and there is no telling if he will get the chance to do it inside the Octagon.
