Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a> star Brandi Glanville<\/a> says she has something \u201ceating\u201d her face after years of living with an unexplained medical crisis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Glanville, 53, says she is hoping to get to the bottom of what she believes are \u201cfacial parasites\u201d.<\/p>\n

Glanville says she believes doctors will find a parasite in her face during an upcoming surgery.\u00a0X\/@brandiglanville<\/p>\n

On her Unfiltered<\/a> podcast, Glanville told co-host James Moss she had booked surgery to finally diagnose the problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m afraid for my health. Like, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s making me sick,\u201d Glanville said.<\/p>\n

She had a realisation while watching herself during a brief appearance on US reality show Special Forces she said.<\/p>\n

Glanville said she looked like \u201ca thick neck with a Beetlejuice head and I\u2019m like, \u2018Holy f—.\u2019 Like, something is in my face eating it. I know they\u2019re going to find that out when they go in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said that when she told a doctor she didn\u2019t feel like her neck was part of her body, they told her: \u201cThere\u2019s a whole extra piece here \u2026 It\u2019s like something made a cove for itself. It\u2019s so crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The surgery date was big milestone for the reality star.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so excited. These past four years<\/a>, I didn\u2019t think I was going to make it,\u201d\u00a0she said. \u201cBut I\u2019m excited to just get my life back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glanville has been open about the strain of her health issues, and says she has an an 18-hour daily IV regimen<\/a> and medical bills she has struggled to pay<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In September, Glanville said she was battling several diagnoses including bacterial and fungal infections as well as mononucleosis, also known as glandular fever.<\/p>\n

One of herr diagnoses is a facial mite called Demodex dermatitis.\u00a0Instagram\/@Brandiglanville<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis,\u201d she shared in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n

Biofilm production in ESBL-producing Klebsiella and Enterobacter\u00a0can create antibiotic resistance, making bacterial infections harder to treat, the US National Institutes of Health<\/a> says.<\/p>\n

Glanville starred on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from Seasons 3 to 5. \u00a0Bravo<\/p>\n

Coccidioidomycosis, also known as Valley Fever, is a fungal lung infection. <\/p>\n

It comes from inhaling spores of fungus that grow in soil and dirt in parts of the south-western US, according to the Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Demodex dermatitis is a facial mite that lives in the oil glands of hair follicles. It can cause itchy skin, textured skin, inflammation and redness.<\/p>\n

On top of everything, Glanville said she also had a fungal ball in her face that needed to be removed.<\/p>\n

Glanville rose to fame as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2011 to 2015.
