{"id":924569,"date":"2026-10-11T19:30:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T19:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/924569\/"},"modified":"2026-10-11T19:30:13","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T19:30:13","slug":"camera-traps-installed-at-frasers-hill-after-tiger-spotted-in-the-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/924569\/","title":{"rendered":"Camera traps installed at Fraser\u2019s Hill after tiger spotted in the area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-primary article-summary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">KUANTAN \u2013 The Pahang Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) has installed four camera traps after receiving reports of a Malayan tiger roaming by the roadside along the Fraser\u2019s Hill route near Raub, heading towards Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB), Selangor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Pahang Perhilitan director Yusoff Shariff said his department received information of the sighting at around 9am on Oct 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cFour officers went to the location to investigate and install camera traps,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">He added that monitoring in the area will continue to get further information on the presence of the tiger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It was reported that several photographs showing the animal\u2019s presence went viral on social media, sparking various reactions from the public.
