\n\tThe full list of MCU characters who will appear in \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d may still be a mystery, but Jeremy Renner<\/a> has made it clear he didn\u2019t return as Hawkeye \u2014 and says The Avengers \u201cwill probably lose\u201d as a result.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo, no, no, no. Not in that one,\u201d said Renner when asked if he was returning for \u201cDoomsday\u201d in a recent interview<\/a>. \u201c\u2019Doomsday\u2019 I\u2019m not in, so the Avengers will probably lose, just so you know\u2026 they didn\u2019t call me, so it\u2019s their fault. They\u2019re going to lose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThough he isn\u2019t reprising the role of Hawkeye for \u201cDoomsday,\u201d the actor did note that he was excited about the re-release of \u201cAvengers: Endgame,\u201d <\/a>which brought the 2019 film back to theaters ahead of \u201cDoomsday\u2019s\u201d Dec. 18 release. Renner has played the superhero previously in \u201cThe Avengers,\u201d \u201cAvengers: Age of Ultron\u201d and \u201cEndgame,\u201d in addition to other films like \u201cThor\u201d and \u201cCaptain America: Civil War,\u201d in which he made brief appearances. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2025, Renner said that he was open to returning<\/a> to the MCU, whether it was for Season 2 of \u201cHawkeye\u201d or something else. \u201cI\u2019m always happy to be in that world, man. I love all those guys, I love the character,\u201d Renner told Empire. \u201cI\u2019m sure we\u2019ll end up doing Season 2 [of \u2018Hawkeye\u2019], and do other things. And I\u2019m happy to do it. My body\u2019s getting ready for something like that. I don\u2019t know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the time, he\u2019d also noted that he\u2019d recovered \u201cmore than 150%\u201d from his 2023 snowmobile accident, meaning he was ready to do his own stunts for the Marvel films.
