Hackers have heated fridges and freezers at hundreds of French supermarkets to as high as 50C, spoiling food and causing fires in a calculated attack on the country\u2019s food supply which has been called \u201cunprecedented\u201d.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund has warned the planet\u2019s economic systems are not prepared for the now \u201celevated\u201d chance that superpowers have over-invested into artificial intelligence too soon.<\/p>\n
In its October report, the IMF now warns of three \u201ccatalysts\u201d that could create turmoil: AI market correction, rising government borrowing costs and a major cyberattack. <\/p>\n

It came as a report citing officials claims Saudi authorities stopped issuing public attack warnings because residents complained the alerts were waking them at night, right before airport strikes killed at least 18 people and wounded more than 300.<\/p>\n
The revelation comes as the situation in the Middle East continues to devolve, with Iran\u2019s proxy forces unleashing from multiple fronts in response to the ongoing US-Israeli campaign.<\/p>\n
Across Europe, Russia has struck six Ukrainian energy facilities just hours after US President Donald Trump announced the two countries had effectively reached a so-called energy ceasefire. <\/p>\n
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had hit \u201cour gas stations, energy infrastructure, and other facilities,\u201d despite Mr Trump stating the ceasefire would be \u201ceffective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n
