\u201cWhen you came out as a gay, it wasn\u2019t really at a time of your choosing,\u201d Armytage<\/a> began during their hour-long conversation.<\/p>\n Wilson recalled how she was given 48 hours to respond to a story the journalist planned to run about her relationship with a woman. <\/p>\n Wilson expressed she didn\u2019t have a label on her sexuality and at the time, having \u201conly dated men\u201d. <\/p>\n The Bridesmaids star said she was \u201cshocked\u201d by the email. She thought, \u201cin this day and age\u201d, the press had moved on from reporting on a star\u2019s sexuality. <\/p>\n \u201cI just thought… well, this is my news to tell,\u201d Wilson decided. <\/p>\n While she was excited to share her romance with the world, wife Ramona \u201cwas really worried\u201d coming from a conservative country.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were people in our families who didn\u2019t know at the point,\u201d Wilson recalled. <\/p>\n Wilson said Agruma was hesitant to share their romance with the world because she was a private person. \u00a0FilmMagic<\/p>\n \u201cSo we quickly had to tell people, and anyone who\u2019s had to do that understands it\u2019s not easy conversation sometimes.\u201d <\/p>\n The Pitch Perfect actress decided to take control of her narrative and shared her love to the world on Instagram. <\/p>\n She said it was amazing to receive an outpouring of love and support from her post. <\/p>\n Rebel and wife Ramona share their first photo as a family of four. \u00a0Instagram\/@rebelwilson<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m more proud of myself and Ramona for [recognising] it\u2019s our news to tell,\u201d she added. \u201cSo we\u2019re going to tell it before you.\u201d <\/p>\n After the news made headlines across the world, Andrew Hornery \u2013 the journalist at the Sydney Morning Herald, which is published by Nine, the publisher of this website\u2013 apologised for what happened in an online column<\/a>.<\/p>\n He vowed that the publication would \u201capproach things differently from now on\u201d and ensure reporters \u201calways take into consideration the extra layer of complexities people face when it comes to their sexuality.\u201d <\/p>\n After five years together and two years of marriage, the pair share two beautiful girls together; Royce and Rose Estelle<\/a>.<\/p>\n Wilson agreed that she and her partner have had the \u201clast laugh\u201d after the scandal erupted, and now the duo couldn\u2019t be happier.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s now been five years, and my relationships with men never lasted that long! It\u2019s funny how life can change <\/p>\n \u201cI have a five-month-old and just coming up to four-year-old, and they are the cutest little things,\u201d she told Armytage.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t work as much, and I don\u2019t want to work as much.
