National Geographic Explorer Bertie Gregory returns to the Canadian Arctic for his most personal journey yet in WOLVES UP CLOSE WITH BERTIE GREGORY, premiering Nov. 6 at 9\/8c on National Geographic and streaming the same day on Disney+ and Hulu. Reconnecting with a pack of wolves he has followed for seven years, Bertie sets out to capture one of the Arctic’s most dangerous and rarely filmed hunts: wolves taking on a bull moose, prey roughly ten times their size. Led by Kona, a striking white breeding male, the pack faces a critical winter as dwindling food supplies, an encroaching rival wolf and an aging leader threaten its survival.

Beyond the hunt, Bertie captures extraordinary moments of Arctic wildlife, including polar bears, a wolverine and a river otter hunting beneath the ice. Joined by Swampy Cree First Nations elder Albert “Butch” Saunders and veteran wildlife guide Mike Reimer, he explores the deep connections between people, wolves and the land. Against the backdrop of brutal Arctic conditions and a warming Hudson Bay that is delaying the annual freeze-up, WOLVES UP CLOSE WITH BERTIE GREGORY offers an intimate look at the challenges facing Arctic wildlife and the importance of coexistence in a rapidly changing world.
