If there\u2019s anyone we can consistently rely upon to curate red-carpet<\/a>-halting ensembles, it\u2019s the dynamic duo that is Florence Pugh<\/a> and long-time stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray.<\/p>\n

And if past looks weren\u2019t enough to cement the Oscar nominee as a trendsetter, her latest take on the \u2018naked\u2019 dress trend<\/a> surely will.<\/p>\n

Florence Pugh has turned heads in a naked dress like no other at the BFI London Film Festival.\u00a0Getty<\/p>\n

Stepping out in a surprise red carpet appearance for Taika Waititi\u2019s latest project Klara and The Sun<\/a>, starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams, Pugh was a spotlight-stealer in floral.<\/p>\n

The Oscar-nominated actress posed on the red carpet alongside the film\u2019s stars at the BFI London Film Festival in London.<\/p>\n

Looking utterly radiant in Rodarte, a brand famous for its darkly whimsical, often gothic-leaning ambience, Pugh paired the gossamer gown with a soft glam look to give the dramatic silhouette its moment.<\/p>\n

This piece leaned heavily into the romantic signature stylist Corbin-Murray has curated over the years, contrasting delicate hand-embroidered textures with bold, structural shapes.<\/p>\n

Pugh\u2019s appearances following the debut of sweeping period drama East of Eden \u2013 a new small-screen adaptation of John Steinbeck\u2019s acclaimed novel of the same name \u2013 have largely kept to this concept.<\/p>\n

While the star doesn\u2019t shy away from darker, sharper ensembles a la Vivienne Westwood, she effortlessly staggers them with softer, more romantic looks.<\/p>\n

And she isn\u2019t particularly bothered about whether her red carpet appearances ruffle feathers, either.<\/p>\n

Pugh is one of the leading figures of the red carpet \u201cnaked dress\u201d movement<\/a>, having previously received backlash for a nipple-bearing hot pink ensemble worn at the Valentino Haute Couture Fall\/Winter 2022\/2023 fashion show.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cUnfortunately, we\u2019ve become so terrified of the human body that we can\u2019t even look at my two little cute nipples behind fabric in a way that isn\u2019t sexual,\u201d Pugh said in an interview with Elle UK<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n

More recently, Pugh sent shockwaves through the East of Eden premiere event in perhaps her most daring look to date.<\/p>\n

The star wore a colour notoriously difficult to pull off \u2013 chartreuse \u2013 paired with a plunging neckline with apparent ease.<\/p>\n

An absolute masterclass in method dressing, the nod to 19th-century romanticism featured an acidic bodice with structural boning detail, and black bejewelled embellishment glittering across the corset. <\/p>\n
