\u201cA simple lunch at a restaurant and a visit to the ladies\u2019 bathroom has ended up being a nightmare beyond belief,\u201d Ms Walsh began.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe slippery floor caused her to fall into an open stairwell, where she landed on the steps below. She was taken by ambulance to hospital emergency ward for evaluation and x-rays.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Busselton woman, who also suffers with osteoporosis, sustained several horrific injuries, including six severe fractures to her legs \u2013 three in each.<\/p>\n
After suffering severe adverse reaction to painkillers following emergency surgery for her legs, Ms Ravenscroft ended up in the intensive care unit last Sunday, where she continues to remain.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Her) vitals plummeted and she started convulsing. This was so severe that we were close to losing her,\u201d Ms Walsh continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause of the extent of the fractures, the medical team had to do manual realignments to her legs and both legs were then put into traction with weights \u2013 all without painkillers because of the severe reactions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Post-surgery Ms Ravenscroft has undergone two blood transfusions, with her daughter revealing that her condition remained precarious in an update on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cOngoing medical care and treatment for the heart, oxygen and blood issues resulting from the reaction to the pain injections, has exacerbated. Her condition isn\u2019t good.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer mouth and throat have now swollen effecting her even more.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Ravenscroft did not have travel insurance when she journeyed to Bali, meaning her family could now be facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills.<\/p>\n
Ms Walsh continued: \u201cThe final cost of the emergency surgery and this additional care required have also increased. It\u2019s devastating news.\u201d<\/p>\n
