Dubois strikes first with a jab, and seconds later connects with a right that wobbles Wardley! Wow! He touches canvas and we have our first 10-count, Wardley answers. Dubois right back on the offensive, not sure Wardley has recovered at all. Dubois sizing him up, he doubles up on the jab and fires in another right. Wardley still finding his legs here. Two more big punches from Dubois, he\u2019s landing big, but making sure not to punch himself out.<\/p>\n
Wardley throws a right back, but he\u2019s short, and Dubois advances again. He\u2019s letting the right hand go and it feels like he\u2019s just inches away from connecting with the fight-ender. Wardley jabs the body. Dubois with another rocking right, Wardley on the ropes, just eating punches. Gray lets this fight go with 10 seconds remaining in the round and Wardley makes it out of the round despite heavy pressure from Dubois. Intense first three minutes.<\/p>\n

Wardley comes out swinging, to his credit. Offense might be the best defense at this point, because Dubois was surgical in Round 1. Dubois jabs his way in, Wardley with a quick tie-up. Both fighters a little cautious here, Dubois not wanting to get caught by a counter, Wardley aware of Dubois\u2019 power. Dubois with another sharp 1-2 and Wardley takes the right on the chin. Not sure how much more of those he can take. Big miss by Wardley, and Dubois capitalizes with a flurry of punches. He\u2019s just blasting Wardley, and Wardley\u2019s corner has seen enough. The towel is thrown in. Dubois does it again.<\/p>\n

Dubois calls Wardley a great warrior, but that \u201cit is my time and my era.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI had bad intentions from the beginning and this is God\u2019s victory tonight, we done well.\u201d<\/p>\n
He says his back was against the wall in the first fight and tonight was about \u201cshowing that we mean business.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s time to talk about Dubois\u2019 next opponent, and promoter Frank Warren says there are a number of unification bouts for the WBO heavyweight champion, but they don\u2019t call out any specific names. Dubois just says he wants \u201cbig money and big fights.\u201d<\/p>\n
IBF champion Filip Hrgovic is in the crowd and Warren calls him into the ring for an impromptu face off with Dubois.<\/p>\n
Hrgovic says Dubois had an \u201ceasy night\u201d and suggests he be ready to fight in March.
