Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber have spoken out after their son Presley Gerber\u2019s death<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

Almost a month after he died aged 27<\/a>, his parents and sister, Kaia Gerber<\/a>, 25, paid tribute in a post shared on Crawford\u2019s Instagram account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother,\u201d the family began.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain. \u2019Til we meet again, our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her own lengthy statement addressed to her brother, Kaia said she didn\u2019t have the words for \u201cthe magnitude of losing you\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know how much I loved being your sister. It has always been, and will forever be, my favourite thing about myself,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came into this world with a white-knuckle grip around you. I had more love for you than I knew what to do with. And now that it has nowhere obvious to go, I\u2019m certain it\u2019s going to swallow me whole.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kaia said she was \u201cborn loving you\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will die loving you. There was never anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI keep thinking about how when we were little,\u201d Kaia added,\u201cI got scared before getting my ears pierced, so you went first.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when i held the earring they took from your body, all i could think was: that belongs to you…. and i really f–king wish you hadn\u2019t gone first this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerber was pronounced dead on September 20 after emergency crews were called to a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility. He was 27 years old.<\/p>\n

TMZ reported he had arrived at the facility the previous night and was later found inside a bedroom.<\/p>\n

On September 21, the Santa Monica Police Department said his death was being investigated \u201cas a suspected overdose\u201d and that there was \u201cno indication of foul play\u201d.<\/p>\n

No official cause of death has been released.<\/p>\n

Gerber was reportedly cremated<\/a> after a private family funeral. <\/p>\n

He had been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse. <\/p>\n

\u201cHaving struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or 100 people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that\u2019s all I need to do,\u201d he said on the Studio 22 podcast<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n

He hosted a social media series called Mental Health Mondays, where he shared updates on his journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been incredible seeing how far that message has spread and how many people it\u2019s helped,\u201d he said in November 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud that something I created has inspired others and started a bigger movement around openness and healing.\u201d<\/p>\n
